The Louis Vuitton hard box home exhibition has a deep background, and its journey around the world has never stopped: Paris, New York, London... The flow of time and space has changed, and what remains unchanged is Louis Vuitton hard box and home design, an artistic lifestyle full of creativity, texture and beauty.

This time, the Common Art Center is honored to be selected to present this exhibition with LV, conveying the encounter between modernity and elegance, art and fashion, and sharing the brand's ultimate pursuit of beauty.

Following the cooperative launch of Artycapucines handbags in 2020 and the LOUIS200 project to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Louis Vuitton in 2021, Louis Vuitton once again joined hands with Chinese artist Liu Wei in 2023 to explore paintings, images and crafts. Travel. This time, Liu Wei, inspired by his "sandwich" series, created a unique hard box tower of the same name, which made its debut at the Louis Vuitton Beijing Hardbox Home Exhibition.

In 1927, starting from the famous art agent RenéGimpel's customised painting suitcase, Louis Vuitton became more and more closely connected with the cultural and artistic circles, with Richard Prince, Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusama, DamienHirst, Xu Bing, Ding Yi and other artists. Popular cooperation. This time, Liu Wei, based on his digital image series "sandwich", deconstructed, squeezed and reorganised the urban landscape through two-dimensional digital images as the creative vocabulary, showing the modern city "scenery" on the Louis Vuitton hard box.

The theme of this exhibition is "Open an exploration of freedom and feel more possibilities about travel"; LV leads us into the world of hard boxes, using furniture, modern hard boxes and the collision of art space to convey the true meaning of "art into life".

This is an excellent scene for leisure tourism. The background is an attic with a Chinese style. The sofa named after the traditional Brazilian candy Bomboca is exquisite as an abstract sculpture, and comfortable as if it is in the cloud... The suspended chair co-made by LV and Dutch designers Fernando and Humberto Campana hangs above.

The exquisite hanging ornaments designed by telier Oï Quetzal are inspired by the bright feathers of the phoenix-tailed green cuckoo, like bright wings. With the armchairs and sofas designed by Zhou Chenchen, inspired by elegant and smooth lines and calligraphy strokes, it greets the magic work of the terraced fields in Yunnan, China and the Antelope Canyon in Arizona, USA.

In addition, each space combines furniture and LV hard boxes to make a unique substitution situational design. The object + scene brings us a kind of practical warmth and artistic fun to our journey-like life, and also leaves a strong impression on the visitors.

Although the objects themselves are used by people, they can still rely on the ingenuity of the craftsmen.

Just like this Louis Vuitton hard case exhibition. Relying on the cultural heritage of a brand for more than 160 years, and even on the interaction with countless people who have used it, those customised shapes left by one by one seem to tell the touching stories behind them.

This exhibition is more like an expression of Louis Vuitton's travelling spirit. Perhaps this hard box combined with various scenes and art can indeed bring us a practical warmth and artistic fun.
